Boston Sports Summit - New England Patriots...You're on the Clock

The Patriots will be officially on the clock in less than 36 hours & having the #3 overall pick & no QB…they need to get this right. Dianna Russini recently reported that while Eliot Wolf is running point, Jonathan Kraft is “heavily involved in the decision making” which scares me if Jonathan is the one making the decision. She later adjusted it saying the he is overseeing rather than being “heavily involved” but I still don’t trust this ownership group like I used to. The fact that the NFL Draft is on tomorrow I wanted to have fun & do a live mock draft on the Pro Football Focus website. I wanted to have some fun & see if the Pats could get the proverbial “Bag”.The Bruins are tied with the Leafs at 1 game a piece after dropping Game 2 on Monday night. I was ready to blast the platoon of goalies if they lost but that wasn’t the issue. No, it was the fact that the forwards didn’t even show up & got pushed around by a freakin Maple Leafs team that is softer than the Bruins. There was a lot of issues but that 2nd goal by John Tavares was a bad look for every Bruin involved on the play, including Ullmark. They play tonight up in Toronto for the 1st time this series & it will be interesting to see which team comes out; the Game 1 or Game 2 Bruins?The Celtics meanwhile did their job on Sunday & that is really the story when it comes to this Celtics team. The only difference was Caleb Martin’s cheap shot on Jayson Tatum which could have possibly ended Tatum’s series. The fact the Heat are without Butler & Rozier has played a major impact on the talent discrepancy between both these teams. If the Heat can make it competitive than there might be a story but this should be a Celtics Sweep or a Gentleman’s Sweep.

The Red Sox were touting all off-season how that if they were average on defense last season, they would've made it to the playoffs. As they have demonstrated in the first 18 games of the season...they Suck defensively. It's 2023 all over again. As for the off the field antics with this team, you have Triston Casas calling the Ted Williams a myth just because he can't reach the seat on a home run he hit & Kenley Jansen wants to complain about the baseball as to why he is sucking, is it the ball or is it him?The Patriots are hosting several prospects over the last week and there was a prospect they took to dinner that might surprise some and Adam Schefter let ESPN know that the Patriots have received calls for the #3 overall pick - is there something cooking & could New England do something surprising?The Bruins have solidified their spot in the playoffs by...losing 3 of their last 4 games. As much as that makes me nervous heading into the playoffs; the NHL Bruins will be facing the Toronto Maple Leafs. This is the team that I wanted to play but there have been plenty of times over recent years, when a fanbase cheers to play a certain team, that fanbase's team loses. Longtime Bruins broadcaster Jack Edwards has announced his retirement which will happen after the playoffs.The Regular season for the Celtics is FINALLY over & the Celtics will find out who they face on Friday. Are the Celtics ready for the playoffs and is there a possibility that this is a successful season even without a championship?
